References
If you have a patient that you want to forward for CT or MRI, you can make an appointment, or let the owner's do this. Of course it is always possible to get advance information on these examinations.
Delimit
In order to keep the examination as effectively and inexpensive as possible it’s important to define the region in advance as sharp as possible. Therefore we kindly ask you to give us all the relevant information regarding the referred patient, such as:
- The results of the general clinical examination
- The results of orthopedic and/or neurological examination
- X-rays (if present)
- Relevant laboratory results
- Information which may be important for an undisturbed course of anesthesia
- For the MRI: the presence of orthopedic implants
You can give this information to the owner, or by mail to us: info@dierenkliniekdenheuvel.nl
After examination
After the examination a report is made containing the findings. We often make available the images at the discretion of the department of radiology at the University of Gent. Therefore, it can take up to a day before the final outcome is known. The result is printed and given to the owner, it will also be sent by fax or an e-mail to the referring veterinarian. The examination images are put on a CD and given to the owner. Results of the radiologist will be sent by fax or e-mail to the referring veterinarian.
